Peter Ellyard is a futurist, strategist, speaker and author. He is dedicating the next few years to the envisioning, designing and building by the year 2050 of an interdependent planetary society which is prosperous, equitable, sustainable, harmonious and innovative.  His latest book  'Designing 2050: pathways to sustainable prosperity on spaceship Earth' outlines in considerable detail what needs to be accomplished in this two generation time frame.  Much of this process of building such a global society will be undertaken by creative people of all kinds including entrepreneurs and innovators. He is now establishing a new foundation, Foundation 2050, which will become a major vehicle for his work. He has spent 25 years in CEO and Senior Consultant positions in the public sector and the UN system, so he believes that achieving this aspiration is both necessary and possible and that we can prosper economically by committing ourselves to such a pathway.
